Broad Beans Curry


Ingredients:
  • Broad beans : 1lb

  • Channa Dalia(putnala pappu) powder : 3 spoons

  • Red Chili powder : 1 spoon(adjust according to taste)

  • Sugar : 1 -2 spoons

  • Salt : According to taste

  • All ingredients required for taalimpu

  • Oil - 2 tablespoons

  • Turmeric - a pinch

Procedure:

  • Clean and cut broad beans into medium size pieces and cook with water till they become soft.

  • Once it is done, pour them in a stainer to drain off all water.

  • Heat a kadai , add oil .Once it is hot add all ingredients of taalimpu , turmeric.

  • Let it fry for 2 seconds.Now add cooked beans and let it cook for few seconds.

  • Now add salt, Channa Dalia powder, chili powder,sugar and mix it well .

  • Cook till moisture is evaporated.

Serve this curry with rice.

My first Recipe ---- Sorakaya Rottelu(Bottlegourd Roti)




Introduction:
Many of us show dislike towards sorakaya. This recipe will make us to have sorakaya.These rotis are very soft and should be served hot with any chutney.Can be served as breakfast or a snack.


Ingredients:
  • Bottle gourd (medium size) - 1
  • Rice flour - 1/2cup
  • Green Chili - 2
  • Channa Dal - 2 spoons
  • Moong Dal - 2 spoons
  • Carrot - 1(optional)
  • Salt - According to taste
  • Oil

Procedure:
  • Soak Moong Dal and Channa Dal in water.

  • Peel the cover of bottle guard and cut both the ends.Grate this using grater and take that to a mixing bowl.Similarly grate carrot and add to it.

  • Add soaked Moong Dal, Channa Dal, chopped chili to the grated mixture of carrot and bottle guard.

  • Add rice flour and salt in it and mix well.
  • Take skillet and preheat heat for some time.Now take some dough and do a medium size ball and put that in the skillet and press with hand till become small round roti. If you prefer you can press thin also.

  • Put oil as we put for roti around it and cover the skillet with a lid.

  • After some time remove the lid and turn it and let it cook for some time.

  • Take that from skillet and serve with any chutney.
