Rice rava upma

Ingredients:
  • Rice rava : 1 cup
  • Moon dal : 6 Tb spoons
  • Green chilies : 2
  • Salt
  • Oil
  • Urad dal : 1 t sp
  • Cumin seeds : 1 t sp
  • Mustard seeds : 1/2 t sp
  • Red chili : 2
  • Curry leaves

Procedure:

  • Soak moon dal for 15 min.In a thick bottom pan, add oil.When it is hot add red chili,urad dal, mustard seeds,cumin seeds, curry leaves and chopped green chili.Let it splutter.
  • Now add 2 cups of water(add more water later if required) and bring it to boil.Add enough salt.Now mix rice rava and soaked moong dal.
  • Let it cook till rava is done.

Serve with tomato pickle or any powder.

Kottimeera, tomato chutney


This is the message you can see about healthy benefits of kottimeera in every social networking sites, so thought of sharing here in my blog.

CLEAN YOUR KIDNEYS IN Rs. 1.00 OR EVEN LESS Years pass by and our kidneys are filtering the blood by removing salt, poison and any unwanted entering our body. With time, the salt accumulates and this needs to undergo cleaning treatments and how are we going to overcome this?
It is very easy, first take a bunch of parsley (MALLI Leaves) KOTHIMBIR (DHANIYA)and wash it clean Then cut it in small pieces and put it in a pot and pour clean water and boil it for ten minutes and let it cool down and then filter it and pour in a clean bottle and keep it inside refrigerator to cool. Drink one glass daily and you will notice all salt and other accumulated poison coming out of your kidney by urination also you will be able to notice the difference which you never felt before.
Parsley is known as best cleaning treatment for kidneys and it is natural! Hope you will forward this to all your loved ones .

Now coming to recipe

Ingredients:
  • Kottimeera or cilantro : 1 bunch
  • Tomato : 2
  • Onion : 1/2
  • Green chilies : 5
  • Tamarind
  • Salt
  • Ginger : 2 inch piece
  • Garlic : 2 pods
  • Oil
  • All ingredients of tadaka or popu

Procedure:

  • Chop cilantro,tomato onion .In a pan add 1tb sp oil, fry chopped cilantro till raw smell disappears.
  • Take that into a bowl.Now in same pan add oil, chopped tomato , onion,green chilies,chopped ginger, garlic and a pinch of salt and let it cook(maggapettadam) till tomato is all done.
  • Let the mixture cool down.In a blender add fried cilantro, salt, tamarind and pulse it for few seconds.Then add tomato mixture and pulse it for another 30 seconds(The pulse option won't make the mixture like paste).
  • In a small pan put tadaka or popu and mix it with chutney.

This chutney goes well with dosa,rice and chpathi.

Note: Ratio of tomato and cilantro and spiciness can be adjusted as per your taste.
